De Witte Lietaer specialises in quality linen. Founded in 1898, the company focuses
mainly on hotels and restaurants through contracting, but also through retail
on consumers looking for the best quality textile. Stefan Schöning is best known
for redesigning the traffic lights for the Flemish government and for the corporate
identity he created for the Belgian railway company. In 2008 he was voted Designer
of the Year. The pavilion in the exhibition hall of the Flemish Parliament is also among
his projects.
This new product is a tool that will improve bed making in hotels in several ways.
First of all by reducing the heavy physical work and increasing ease of use for chambermaids,
and secondly by reducing the amount of time needed per bed.
